ASID Annual Scientific Meeting

ASID Annual Scientific Meeting

The ASID Annual Scientific Meeting in Adelaide (3 – 5 April 2023) will connect clinicians, microbiologists and other health professions with a common interest in infectious diseases and provide a friendly forum for the exchange of scientific advances in the prevention, diagnosis and management of clinical infectious diseases.

Our venue is one of the most picturesque sporting grounds in the world, the Adelaide Oval, located within minutes of the vibrant Adelaide city centre.

We’re planning an informative and engaging program - The New World of ID – along with fun filled social activities.

The prestigious Macfarlane Burnet Oration, named in honour of the Nobel Prize winning Australian virologist Sir Frank Macfarlane Burnet, a pioneer in the fields of virology and immunology, will be presented by Professor Piero Olliaro, Professor of Poverty Related Infectious Diseases at the University of Oxford.

ASID is also proud to welcome Dr Will Flanary, a US based ophthalmologist and part time comedian who moonlights in his free time as Dr Glaucomflecken.
