Awards and Grants
Central to the purpose of ASID are our strategic pillars of education and research. ASID awards and grants support members across the infectious diseases community at all career stages. These initiatives foster education, career development and research, encouraging members to progress their work and contribute to the ongoing advancement of microbiology and infectious diseases.
All awards are bound by the ASID Award Terms and Conditions and awardees will be required to sign the Terms and Conditions. We encourage all applicants to be familiar with the Terms and Conditions.
ASID Award Terms and Conditions
Specific application dates and details will be advertised under each award annually.
Questions/applications can be directed to submissions@asid.net.au.

Awarded annually, the $20,000 ASID Research Grant aims to foster and encourage clinical infectious diseases research by early career ASID member, providing seed funding for new projects or research to strengthen subsequent competitive grant applications.
This will be a competitive grant, based on submitted applications which will be scored by a judging panel, who will make a recommendation to the Board.
The Board will make the final decision on who will be awarded the grant in any given year, and reserve the right not to award a grant if there are no applications judged to be of sufficient merit or for budgetary reasons.
