
Requesting ASID Endorsement or Support
ASID is happy to endorse or support a wide range of initiatives, from clinical guidelines and research studies to events and educational resources, provided they align with ASID’s purpose and values. We welcome your submission for endorsement or support.
This page outlines what endorsement and support mean, how to apply, and what you can expect from the process.
Endorsement or Support: What’s the Difference?
ASID Endorsed
Used when ASID agrees a submission meets its purpose and standards. No in-kind or financial resources are provided, just the mark of approval and optional promotion by ASID.
ASID Supported
Indicates ASID not only endorses the submission but also commits some level of in-kind or financial support. This may include staff time, promotional activity, or participation.
Eligible Submissions
We consider requests for:
Clinical guidelines, resources, or websites
Research grant proposals
Studies, trials, or health projects
Books, reports, or publications
Events or campaigns (not run by ASID)
Any initiative relevant to infectious diseases in Australasia
We don’t consider:
Commercial product endorsements
Sponsorship requests (these follow a separate process)
Key Criteria
To be considered, submissions must:
Align with ASID’s purpose and strategy
Be of high quality and ethical standards
Complement other ASID activities (no direct conflicts)
Follow the ASID Endorsement Policy and Process
For support (including financial/in-kind), we’ll also assess:
Clear justification for ASID’s contribution
Feasibility and resourcing needs
Relevance and potential impact on the sector
The Process
Submit your request
Email: Submissions@asid.net.au
Include the completed Endorsement Request form and relevant supporting documentation that reviewers will require to make the assessment. Please allow at least 4 weeks for review. We cannot guarantee that the review process will be completed within 4 weeks.
Initial screening
ASID’s Secretariat reviews and forwards eligible requests to the Endorsement Working Group or relevant experts.Review and recommendation
Submissions are assessed based on content type and relevance. Reviewers declare any conflicts of interest.Final decision
ASID’s CEO (or delegate) makes the final call. For requests involving support, the Board may also be consulted.Notification and outcomes
If endorsed/supported, you’ll receive:A letter of confirmation
Permission to use the ASID logo (if relevant)
Optional promotional support (events, website, socials)
Promoting Endorsed Work
ASID Endorsed or Supported submissions may be:
Promoted at ASID events and on social media
Featured in ASID newsletters or website content
Permitted to display the ASID logo
For supported projects, ASID’s contribution (and any conditions) will be clearly outlined.
Your Obligations
If your submission is endorsed or supported, you must:
Acknowledge ASID in any related publications or promotions
Update ASID if the submission is revised or withdrawn
Provide outcome reports (especially if support was provided)
Be open to sharing your work with ASID members (e.g. webinars, events)
Consider participating in future ASID peer reviews
