ASID recognises the spread of non-scientific and misinformation by individuals who oppose vaccines can erode vaccine confidence and acceptance. Our challenge is to increase the public’s knowledge of and confidence in vaccines in Australia and the region.

Two of our Special Interest Groups – The Vaccination Special Interest Group (VACSIG) and The Australian and New Zealand Paediatric Infectious Diseases Group (ANZPID) have been at the forefront of promoting vaccine confidence, relying on evidence and research, and holding webinars to discuss effectiveness.
