Immunocompromised Host Special Interest Group
ICHSIG focuses on the continued expansion of new immune modulating therapies, the increasing number of patients receiving immunosuppression, and the scope of specialities managing immunocompromised hosts.

ICHSIG aims to:
Advance awareness, education and research in the field of infections in immunocompromised host.
Build a collaborative research network to enable multi centre investigator-initiated trials/studies and to ensure immunocompromised patients have access to the latest drugs/vaccines trials.
Develop or contribute expertise to consensus guidelines covering infectious diseases prevention in the immunocompromised host and management such as vaccination and infection control.
Advance Australia/NZ representation on international societies such as The International Immunocompromised Host Society (ICHS), the Transplant Infectious Disease Society, ESCMID and promote collaboration between ASID members and these groups.
ICHSIG educational activities include:
Education on the latest findings in the field through quarterly journal clubs and annual meetings.
A ICHSIG Symposia at the ASID Annual Scientific Meeting.
