Australia and New Zealand Mycoses Interest Group
ANZMIG promotes excellence in clinical and laboratory mycology through collaborative clinical and translational research focussed on improving patient-centred outcomes.

ANZMIG aims to:
Foster and advance education and training in the pathogenesis, microbiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of fungal infections.
Develop national guidelines for management of mycological infections.
Facilitate and promote investigator-initiated, collaborative clinical and applied mycological research throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Contribute to program development of other ad hoc educational meetings involving Mycology.
ANZMIG educational activities include:
Organising the Mycology Masterclass Program every two years
Inviting Advanced Trainees in Infectious Diseases/Microbiology to present their work at three ANZMIG meetings each year.
An ANZMIG Symposia at the ASID Annual Scientific Meeting.
ANZMIG awards a seed grant to an ASID member valued at $30,000 per annum to support research towards a PhD degree.
Inviting scientists and other clinicians to present.
